The Bain Al Jessrain area of Abu Dahbi that is located between the Al Maqtaa Bridge and Al Musaffah Bridge has been renamed as Al Maqtaa area by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City. The renaming of the area, which is one of the newer suburbs in the city, is aimed at showcasing its historical importance. The renamed Al Maqtaa area is situated near the landmark Al Maqtaa Castle which stands between the iconic Shaikh Zayed Bridge and the crossing of Al Maqtaa Bridge.
