Dubai Police said, “Heavy congestion was reported on Al Etihad Road towards Dubai on Sunday morning.”
The accident was reported by the Dubai Police on their Twitter handle at 8:27 AM stating, “Traffic congestion on Al Etihad Road from Sharjah to Dubai due to accident.”
According to Google Maps, the congestion on the roads had lead to a long tailback that was reported near Dubai Design District towards Abu Dhabi due to an accident.
Another accident was reported on D61 – Hessa Street , affecting traffic towards Jumeirah and Abu Dhabi
There was also heavy traffic that was reported in Sharjah as well on the Al Nahda Street, Muhaisnah, Industrial Area 15 and near the National Paints Factory.
