Ataya is a charity exhibition organised by Emirates Red Crescent under the patronage and vision of HH Shaikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan.
Ataya which means ‘giving’ in Arabic was incepted five years ago and has now grown to become a landmark in Abu Dhabi’s cultural calendar. The event exhibits and sells a wide range of fresh and distinct fashion wear, jewellery, home accessories and furniture.
The annual exhibition hosts talented designers and artists from the UAE and the region, with each being picked individually by the Higher Committee of the Exhibition.
Objectives of the exhibition include:
•To support charitable establishments with funds raised from the Exhibition.
•To focus on building awareness of community service among Emiratis, particularly the younger generation.
•To raise awareness – and importance – of the need to help less fortunate people in society.
•To support similar projects/businesses at the local, regional and international level.
•To help instil the value of charity in the community
The event is open for Ladies only.
