- The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park in Abu Dhabi is set to get a major makeover, worth AED 94 million
- Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced the project on Saturday, 27th May, 2017
- The project will involve site levelling, demolition, transportation, protection of utility lines, and creating a 6900-square metre area for community and commercial activities
- The revamp will help make the park more prominent in terms of entertainment and being a community space to host events
- The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park, previously known as Khalidiyah Ladies park, covers an area of 46000 square metres with greenery of 24035 square metres
- Commissioned by The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport at Abu Dhabi City Municipality, the park is set to be completed in 2018
- The park is being designed by Benoy, a leading architecture company in UAE, who also planned and designed Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
- The park will contain an urban forest, a women’s centre, an environment created using raw and reclaimed materials, an amphitheatre, a cycling track, fitness zones and play areas
- The development of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park is line with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030
