Access to airport road flyover from Friday

- Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that, a major flyover on Airport Road at Rashidiya interchange will open on Friday, easing the commute on the busy highway
- Airport Road has been undergoing a major upgrade since mid-2016 and is set to complete by March, reducing the travel time on road from 30 minutes to 5 minutes
- Mattar Al Tayer said, the Airport Road Improvement Project is part of a plan set by RTA for accommodating the projected growth of passengers up to 92 million by 2020
- The Rashidiya Bridge will open for traffic in both directions on January 5
- The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is the regulatory authority for all matters regarding transport and road safety in the emirate of Dubai

- The Airport road flyover project is a AED 404 million project which is part of a series of infrastructure and mass transit upgrades in Dubai
- The opening of the flyover from both sides will ensure a smooth flow of traffic in the direction of Deira and Al Khawaneej
- The new bridge at the Casablanca intersection would be ready by middle of this month
