A big section of the Corniche Beach in Abu Dhabi will remain closed until 5th May, 2017.
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality on Tuesday announced that the partial closure of Corniche Beach is to carry out the required works in preparation for the Mother of the UAE’s Festival.
The closed area includes the Family Beach-Gate 1 and Gate No. 2 and the Lagoon Beach.
The Municipality has deployed directional signs on the beach to inform beach goers of the closure and inform community members of the latest developments regarding recreational facilities in order to provide the best services.
Although a large area of the beach is closed, the other remaining parts will continue receiving beach goers and offer ordinary services during the closure.
The Mother of the UAE Festival will kick off on 26th March, 2017 and will continue through 4th April, 2017.
The Corniche Beach is a favorite spot for families, and children in particular thanks to its highest standards of safety and security and attractive facilities. The Beach is also a part of modern recreational facilities where the Municipality is keen provide premium services that meet the aspirations of the community.
