50 Amer Centres Take Over Visa Processing in Dubai
50 new smart centers, Amer, have replaced 600 typing centres in Dubai starting 1st November, 2017
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) earlier announced that 50 Amer centers will replace 600 typing centres in Dubai
Small printing centres have previously been stripped off their role of finishing Emirates ID card applications and medical fitness tests
There are currently two Amer centers through which residents can finish visa and residency transactions – in Muhaisnah 4 and Al Kifaf Municipality
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai handles all matters related to the travel and residency of foreign nationals in Dubai
Amer centres are a one-stop shop that allow residents to complete all visa and residency transactions under one roof
Amer centres are expected to reduce processing time and efforts by the applicants as they are no longer required to visit GDRFA offices to apply or cancel their residency visas
If all necessary documents are provided, a transaction at an Amer centre can be finished at the earliest in less than half day or maximum of 48 hours
An Amer centre should be able to handle at least 5000-6000 transactions daily
