A new rule has now been introduced in the UAE which now comes as a great relief. In order to increase the UAE as the main destination and hold a major position in terms of investments, they are now attracting investors and candidates of highly skilled jobs from all around the world.
Investors, doctors, specialists and top students can now have the privilege to live and work in the UAE with a visa that lasts for 10 years straight. Depending upon the visatype, earlier it used to be a 2 or 3 year visa wherein which the candidate had to renew their visa once it expires. In this case too the candidate will have to renew their visas, but only after 10 years. This is a major leap in decision that the nation has taken and is expecting to see only a positive outcome out of this.

This new rule has been approved by the cabinet in the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi by by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This decision was first stated out on a tweet from his official account.
The decision also goes to mention that the international investors can also now own 100% of their own business entities as opposed to the previous rule. The 10 year visa can be applied to not only the investors, but also their direct family members and students that has a top A performance. This new visa system will only increase the chances by much further interms of attracting foreign investors on to the UAE soil and help them prosper. All in all it is seen as a win-win situation for everyone. The decision involves in increasing the residency status of the students that are sponsored by their parents so that they have ample time to complete their graduate studies and have enough time to make decisions on which career paths to choose and move on.
10-year residency visas
The system has granted the decision to provide investors and exceptionally great talents the leniency of having the long term 10 year visa. This inclides all scientists, investors, and specialists in medical, scientific, research and technical fields. It also grants a good 5 year residency visa for all the students that are studying in the UAE and 10 year visas for excpetionally very good students.
